Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate the underlying mechanisms of rodent behavior through advanced imaging techniques.
- Engage in real-time analysis of interactions between genetically targeted neuron types during various behavioral paradigms.
- Participate in all stages of research, from conceptualization to data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in life sciences or engineering with a strong foundation in cellular, circuits, or systems neuroscience.
- Experience in live tissue or live animal fluorescence imaging, and/or slice electrophysiology.
- Proficiency in stereotaxic rodent surgeries and behavioral assays is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in research through first-author publications and conference presentations.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB for data analysis.
