Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a top-notch team of baristas and working closely with our Kitchen Manager to ensure seamless daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of 5-6 baristas, ensuring excellent customer service and a smooth daily service.
  • Operations Management: Assist the General Manager with inventory management, ordering, and product inventory.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
  • Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve expertly crafted beverages and food items, including lattes, frappes, teas, and other coffee house staples.
  • Table Service: Deliver food and beverages to guests via table service or at the to-go pick-up counter.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the dining room and kitchen areas.
  • Point of Sale and Cash Handling: Operate the Toast Point of Sale system and manage cash drawer reconciliation.
  • Phone Etiquette: Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette and professionalism.
  • Menu Knowledge: Memorize beverage recipes and menu ingredients.
  • Kitchen Expo: Assist with kitchen operations and ensure compliance with food safety guidelines.
  • Staff Scheduling: Assist with front-of-house staff scheduling and management.
  • Product Ordering: Assist with product ordering and inventory management.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Update and improve standard operating procedures to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Monthly Inventory: Complete monthly product inventory and ensure accurate reporting.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work on feet for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary.
