Technical Staff, Platform Architect

The Engineering Technologist team at Dell Technologies specializes in pioneering innovative products, materials, and processes through applied research and advanced engineering. Key Responsibilities:

As a Technical Staff, Platform Architect, you will engage in the development of cutting-edge large-scale AI infrastructure, encompassing accelerated computing, AI fabrics, and optimized storage solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with prominent AI clients to enhance application solutions and fine-tune systems for peak performance. You will lead innovations at the data center level, focusing on liquid cooling technologies and maximizing power density. Additionally, you will formulate long-term technology strategies informed by comprehensive technical and business insights, integrating feedback from industry, marketing, development, manufacturing, procurement, and customer interactions.

Your Contributions Will Include:

  • Leading and participating in strategic forums and serving as a key point of contact for critical development challenges.
  • Shaping future product offerings and providing expertise across various technologies and products.
  • Generating intellectual property, including invention disclosures.
  • Overseeing multiple complex technologies or specialized areas.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Over 15 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent expertise, specifically in AI computing and storage platforms, along with accelerator ecosystems from both hardware and software perspectives.
  • Deep understanding of AI computing design, network architecture, and storage solutions, with the capability to develop automation scripts for validation, configuration, and benchmarking.
  • Proven ability to cultivate technical relationships with vendors to create interfaces that drive requirements into next-generation designs, maintaining a comprehensive database of multi-year vendor roadmaps and ensuring alignment with business objectives through regular technology reviews.
  • Experience in identifying and articulating differentiation opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to marketing, procurement, engineering, customers, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to comprehend competitive and business needs while devising technical solutions, with a willingness to travel as necessary to assess customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.

Desirable:

  • Advanced degrees or relevant technical certifications.
