As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect specializing in AWS cloud technologies, you will be instrumental in guiding our organization’s transition to a cloud-centric high-performance computing (HPC) platform utilizing AWS. Your role will encompass the design and maintenance of a robust architecture for a highly available, high-performance computing platform that supports our ASIC and hardware engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to develop and deploy essential infrastructure while enhancing automation and security measures. This position is crucial in executing the company's cloud strategy, with the capability to implement advanced platforms that support both internal business units and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure cloud systems tailored to meet business requirements.
  • Develop secure network architectures, incorporating firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
  • Oversee system administration of high-performance infrastructures, including NFS file systems and dynamic compute nodes.
  • Automate processes to ensure the smooth operation of our high-performance computing grid by monitoring for errors and latency issues.
  • Collaborate with hardware, ASIC, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration and operation.
  • Utilize scripting languages for semiconductor EDA automation, primarily focusing on Python and Bash.
  • Establish and manage security protocols to safeguard cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to maintain reliable cloud production operations.

Qualifications:

  • A strong academic foundation in information technology, preferably in computer or electrical engineering, with a Bachelor's degree required and a Master's preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, operations, DevOps, or security engineering.
  • Proficient in AWS services and tools, including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CloudFormation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
