We are on the lookout for dedicated Aviation Maintenance Specialists to join our dynamic team at Avelo Airlines, where we prioritize a culture of commitment, simplicity, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the maintenance protocols.
  • Effectively coordinate and execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Take full responsibility for the aircraft during your shift.
  • Ensure transparent communication with Team Leaders, Maintenance Control, and Pilots.
  • Exhibit knowledge of the Structural Repair Manual for conditional use and damage evaluation.
  • Engage in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program and advocate for a 'Safety Always' ethos.

Essential Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficient in leading, mentoring, and instructing fellow Crew Members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is mandatory.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with various aircraft types accommodating 10 or more passengers, preferably with an air carrier or certified repair station.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and MEL/CDL procedures is essential.
  • Completion of Boeing Systems Familiarization courses is preferred.
  • Experience with 737 Line maintenance is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. over a distance of 10 feet.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Potential travel for training and operational needs up to 25% away from base.
  • Must possess personal hand tools that meet the minimum company requirements.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986 is necessary.
  • Completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening is required.
  • A current and valid Driver's License is essential.
