We are looking for a skilled Localization Project Coordinator to join our team at Russell Tobin.
Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
Employment Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Contract Duration: 5-6+ Months with potential for extensions.
Compensation: $120 - $135 per hour, based on experience.
In this role, the selected candidate will oversee the daily management of our localization initiatives, collaborating closely with the Localization Program Manager and liaising with translation service providers. Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and managing localization requests from internal stakeholders.
- Preparing necessary materials for localization, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Facilitating communication between linguists, content owners, and internal reviewers to address queries and clarifications.
- Engaging with internal linguistic reviewers to obtain feedback on translation quality.
- Creating and maintaining a project timeline to ensure deadlines are met and resources are utilized effectively.
- Updating stakeholders on project progress and potential delays.
- Coordinating the submission of localized materials for review and approval, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Working with vendors to guarantee accurate and culturally relevant translations.
- Developing and refining linguistic resources such as glossaries and style guides.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation related to localization projects and decisions made.
- Evaluating and recommending improvements to localization processes for enhanced efficiency and quality.
- Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators related to localization efforts.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
- Understanding of localization industry standards and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional interactions.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Proficiency in project management tools for tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Analytical skills to support decision-making and process enhancements.
- Problem-solving abilities to address challenges proactively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years managing localization projects in a professional context.
- Experience with translation quality management using linguistic assets.
- Familiarity with translation management systems (TMS) and industry-standard file formats.
- Demonstrated adaptability to changing project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management software such as JIRA.
- Fluency in Spanish or additional languages is a plus.
