About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Deputy / Assistant Director, Competitiveness & Grants, Business Competitiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing the competitiveness of Singapore's financial sector and developing strategies to enhance Singapore's position as a leading international financial centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor financial sector developments and track the performance of asset class strategies
  • Study the business environment and formulate developmental strategies to enhance Singapore's position as a leading international financial centre
  • Oversee the management and administration of incentive schemes under the Financial Sector Development Fund (FSDF) to support Singapore's growth as an international financial centre
  • Conduct budget planning and design resource allocation frameworks to effectively manage FSDF's resources
  • Engage relevant MAS departments and other external stakeholders to identify emerging issues and propose strategies and initiatives to advance Singapore's standing as a modern services hub
Requirements
  • Strong interest in financial sector trends and economic development work
  • Possesses strong numeracy, problem-solving, and reasoning skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Accounting knowledge or relevant experience in economic development work, grants management/administration, budget planning, or financial modelling is an advantage
