Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at K.A. Recruiting. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing laboratory tests and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized specimen collection, processing, and testing procedures with supervision as needed.
  • Conduct quality control and instrument check procedures, maintaining related records.
  • Observe and identify types of bacterial colonies, determining cultural requirements and biochemical reactions in chemically-defined media.
  • Group or type blood of donors and recipients, counting, describing morphology of, and performing studies on blood and other body fluid cells.
  • Cut, stain, and mount specimens of human tissue, performing special stains as directed by pathologists.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of MLT program, certification eligible.
  • Associate's degree in Histologic technology, medical laboratory technology, or military advanced specialist preferred.
  • MLT(ASCP) or HT(ASCP) certification within one year of employment.
  • 12 months of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
