Job Summary:

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Medical Lab Technician to join our team in the Automated Testing Lab. As a Medical Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, analyzing chemical content of fluids, and cross-matching blood for transfusion and organ transplantation.

Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues
Identify bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms
Analyze chemical content of fluids
Cross-match blood for transfusion and organ transplantation

Requirements:

Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited program
Medical Lab Technician Certification through ASCP, AMT, ACHI, or an equivalent certification agency
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
