Position Summary

We are currently in search of a dedicated and skilled Materials Handler to become a vital part of our Technical Operations team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Manufacturing, Quality, and Laboratory Operations teams to ensure that all material requirements are efficiently met.

The Materials Handler will primarily focus on the receipt, organization, inventory oversight, and data management of materials essential for pre-clinical, toxicology, engineering, and GMP manufacturing processes. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is crucial, and the Materials Handler must be proficient in following all relevant protocols and work instructions.

Additional responsibilities may include liaising with various Umoja teams and providing insights on warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail. Experience in a GMP setting and familiarity with forklift operation are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate receipt and processing of both GMP and non-GMP materials.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment to support manufacturing activities.
  • Overseeing the kitting and transfer of raw materials.
  • Conducting cycle counts of warehouse inventory and ensuring high accuracy levels.
  • Operating the warehouse in compliance with Umoja SOPs and Quality Systems.

Qualifications

  • A GED or equivalent educational background.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Warehouse role.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift operating certification.
  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory management systems.
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods.
  • Exposure to various warehouse and manufacturing environments with temperature variations.
