Logistics and Shipping Supervisor - Central Warehouse

Position Overview

*Directs efforts to demilitarize, transport, and manage disposal instructions for various assets as required.

*Prepares shipping and disposal documentation to ensure accurate accountability.

*Maintains and updates disposal and inventory records in the relevant systems, providing support to site personnel as necessary.

*Oversees daily logistics and shipping activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

*Plans and coordinates warehouse operations and customer service related to shipping and transportation.

*Optimizes and manages the complete order lifecycle, negotiating with suppliers and stakeholders.

*Monitors quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery schedules, and transportation expenses.

*Develops efficient routing plans, processes shipments, and ensures proper disposal of materials.

*Addresses and resolves operational challenges effectively.

*Supervises and trains warehouse staff, achieving targets for cost, productivity, and accuracy.

*Analyzes performance metrics and implements strategies for continuous improvement.

*Ensures accurate inventory management and oversees stock movements.

*Implements health and safety protocols in collaboration with relevant departments.

*Stays informed about advancements in logistics technology to enhance operational efficiency.

*Conducts training on the proper handling of assets to minimize damage and ensure compliance.

*Manages international shipping coordination and oversees transportation personnel.

Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with significant experience in logistics and transportation management.

Required Skills:

*Proven experience in managing logistics operations and compliance.

*Demonstrated ability to create and maintain accurate documentation.

*Experience in inventory management and record-keeping.

*Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.

*Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.

*Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
