Position Overview

The Marine Export Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and precise movement of freight and information within the Ocean Export Department. This position is vital for maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate a smooth and timely freight processing workflow.
  2. Perform accurate and prompt data entry into our operational systems.
  3. Monitor and report on Ocean Export files through tracking and tracing.
  4. Adhere to compliance regulations, both internal and external, in line with government standards.
  5. Identify best practices to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  6. Maintain and update customer standard operating procedures in the DLSOPs.
  7. Manage overseas communications, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
  8. Escalate issues to management as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with ocean documentation processes is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proactive approach and excellent organizational skills.
  • Competence in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Hazardous Materials certification is preferred.
  • Fluency in English.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Ocean Export Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager.
