Position Overview

The Four Seasons Hotel Miami is seeking a dedicated Pastry Chef de Partie who embodies a commitment to excellence and brings enthusiasm to their role. We are in search of a passionate individual to join our culinary team, someone who thrives in a pastry-focused environment. This role involves overseeing the organization, planning, and quality assurance of pastry products, while also fostering the development of kitchen staff in the pastry section through effective leadership and management to uphold our cultural and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in menu planning and development for the hotel, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of all food items.
  • Manage labor and operational costs through strategic organization, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with Four Seasons, as well as local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Facilitate communication with team members and management to meet operational needs, participating in regular meetings to promote interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Foster a harmonious and professional working relationship with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in recipe costing, preparation charts, and other necessary documentation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure food standards are consistently met.
  • Inspire and motivate team members, organizing team-building activities to strengthen collaboration.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the kitchen to mentor and develop the pastry team, contributing to the overall success of the operation.
  • Be adaptable to work various shifts and areas within the pastry kitchen to meet business demands and gain the necessary knowledge for career advancement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role within a pastry kitchen.
  • Creativity and innovation are essential to ensure the continuous enhancement of our offerings.

A successful candidate will possess a flexible schedule and the ability to work weekends and holidays.
