Job Overview

The main objective of this role is to support the Community Credit Union of Florida in fulfilling our mission: "Always enhance the financial well-being of our members and positively impact our community." A key approach to achieving this goal is to cultivate a highly effective team and foster each employee's growth through guidance and leadership.

The Branch Manager is accountable for ensuring exceptional service is provided to both internal and external members, while overseeing branch sales, service, and operational functions to ensure they operate seamlessly and effectively. This role involves providing direction, training, and oversight to the branch team, while also driving new membership, deposits, and loans for the credit union through outstanding member service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Exhibit enthusiastic support for the corporate mission, core values, and long-term objectives by executing job responsibilities in accordance with bylaws, regulations, and established service standards.
  2. Deliver service to both internal and external members that aligns with the credit union's service commitments and meets all established service targets.
  3. Adhere to the credit union's service commitments when assisting members or colleagues, ensuring timely responsiveness to individual needs and promoting teamwork.
  4. Assist in achieving departmental goals while complying with all operational policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring accurate completion of daily tasks.
  5. Manage direct reports to optimize productivity and efficiency, including hiring, assigning job roles, setting performance expectations, and providing coaching and training.
  6. Coordinate the activities of the retail branch team, effectively communicating sales information and operational changes.
  7. Oversee scheduling for branch team members, ensuring that service stations are prepared for business and that all members receive timely assistance.
  8. Assist with compliance audits and ensure adherence to daily balancing procedures.
  9. Contribute to the branch's profitability through cost management and marketing initiatives, monitoring key products and sales.
  10. Foster a positive sales environment by educating the team on credit union products and services, and coaching them to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  11. Provide telephone support by addressing member inquiries professionally and resolving issues efficiently.
  12. Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors regarding any significant issues or developments within the branch.
  13. Ensure security protocols are upheld regarding cash and other valuables, complying with established policies and regulations.
  14. Manage branch maintenance activities and communicate facility needs to relevant parties.
  15. Ensure accurate completion of operational reports as assigned.
  16. Maintain loan and membership portfolios in line with branch goals, applying sound decision-making techniques.
  17. Develop and implement necessary steps to support policy and procedural changes.
  18. Participate in training sessions and meetings as required, engaging in functions aimed at employee group development.
  19. Follow all policies related to compliance regulations to ensure adherence to current laws.
  20. Perform additional duties as assigned and contribute to special projects.

Position Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in branch management, lending, and supervisory roles, along with a strong customer service and sales background.
  • Intermediate knowledge of branch management and compliance regulations, along with a solid understanding of lending activities.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business documents and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong ability to lead and train staff effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently cross-sell credit union products and services.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if required for job duties.

The incumbent must perform this role safely, ensuring the health and safety of themselves and others.
