Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team at The Morgan Group, Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle payroll process for our 750+ employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll operations, including training and instructing employees on proper use of payroll-related systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a sense of urgency
  • Prepare accounting GL/cash transfer and all payroll-related reports
  • Prioritize and complete diverse tasks with minimal supervision
  • Review payroll files for accuracy
  • Accurately and efficiently enter data into spreadsheets and payroll system
  • Produce and run custom reports
  • Ensure payroll audits and compliance with local, state, and federal taxes
  • Develop and maintain reports in our reporting software
Requirements
  • College degree preferred; high school diploma required; CPP a plus
  • 10+ years of payroll experience; general ledger and allocations experience in multifamily property management and construction a strong plus
  • Experience with Payroll Law, multi-state payroll, multiple payrolls, full cycle payroll, and payroll tax; bonuses and commissions a plus
  • Proficiency in UKG (Ultimate software); strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, index match); ability to learn new systems
  • Attention to detail, accurate and efficient data entry, organized, flexibility, and accommodating
  • Strong communication, team-spirited, and passionate about payroll
  • Excellent time management skills
