Job Summary
We are seeking a Professional, High Energy Medical Office Representative to join our team. As a Medical Office Representative, you will be responsible for providing administrative, front desk and billing duties to ensure excellent quality of care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our patients and our teammates, understanding demographics and addressing patient inquiries.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information and obtain prior authorization and referrals as needed.
- Financial Transactions: Collect deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance, balance cash drawer and reconcile end of day.
- Phone and Data Entry: Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and perform data entry tasks.
- Confidentiality and HIPAA: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.
Requirements
- Education: Associate's degree or 2 years' experience in a healthcare administration setting.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook, and Google Chrome/Firefox.
- Coding and Typing: Familiarity with CPT/ICD 10 coding and 40 WPM typing speed.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, co-workers, and supervisors in a highly professional manner.
- Reliability: Reliable transportation and a commitment to maintaining a flexible schedule.
