The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Senior Access Representative to provide exceptional customer service to patients calling to obtain medical services at UC Irvine Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a preceptor for new staff and be responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality customer service to patients and families
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff members
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of patient requests
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve patient concerns
- Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology, insurance programs, and government programs
- Minimum 6 months of experience working in a call center setting
- 12 months of experience working in a healthcare setting or 12 months of experience working in a call center in a healthcare setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrated knowledge of insurance programs and/or government programs
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
- Demonstrated experience working with a patient registration software system
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
