Government Contracts Specialist

The Government Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of government contracts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and managing contract negotiations. This role requires a strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and experience with government contracting processes.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, from proposal preparation and submission to contract closeout.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations, including TINA, FAR, DFARS, CAS, and agency supplements.
- Review and negotiate terms and conditions, Nondisclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, License Agreements, etc. of contracts.
- Prepare and submit required reports, certifications, and other documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and records.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including finance, legal, and project management, to ensure contract requirements are met.
- Address and resolve any contract-related issues or disputes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for contract management.
- Stay current on changes to federal contracting laws and regulations and advise management on potential impacts.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on government contracting requirements and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contract and contract administration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other federal contracting regulations.
- Experience with contract negotiation and management.
- Experience with a variety of contract types such as IDIQs, T&M, Cost Plus, Fixed Price, OTAs, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or similar certification is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government security clearance.
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.
- Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator or assemble/manufacture intricate items.
- Seeing to read a variety of materials.
- Sitting or standing for extended period of time
- May need physical agility to lift 20 pounds to shoulder height.
- Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
Salary range for this position is $123,510.00- $160,000.00 annually
This is a hybrid remote position
