Position Overview

The Loan Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Branch Manager while gaining insights into the finance industry and our company’s operational practices. This position is designed to prepare you for future branch management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on our personal loan products, utilizing your expertise to provide tailored loan solutions to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Collaborate in formulating marketing strategies aimed at expanding the branch's loan portfolio and improving profitability.
  • Build and nurture customer relationships by delivering outstanding service.
  • Implement account management practices to assist clients facing payment difficulties.
  • Handle cash transport and deposits to and from the bank.
  • Complete the training program as outlined by the Training Department.
  • Monitor and uphold branch standards concerning delinquency management.
  • Accurately receive, track, and post all payments and fees to customer accounts in line with company policies.
  • Process mail and manage communications with clients.
  • Assist in the loan closing process as directed by the Branch Manager.
  • Support the development and maintenance of business-to-business relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience in a sales or cash management environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college coursework completed.
  • 6+ months of experience in consumer finance, including sales and collections.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Willingness to relocate for career growth.

Work Environment

This role involves working in an office setting, providing consumer loan products both in-person and over the phone. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts required. Overtime may be necessary based on management discretion.
