Creative Financial Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our clients in the real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage general ledger entries and trial balance to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements to provide stakeholders with timely and reliable financial information.
- Develop and maintain fixed assets schedules and depreciation reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth year-end closing processes and provide support as needed.
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain property-level financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, accounts receivable, and rent rolls.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, including accounts receivable aging, depreciation schedules, debt compliance, and loan reporting, to support business decisions.
- Manage accounts receivable, including creating and sending invoices, maintaining records of receivable aging, and working on collections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
- Strong general ledger accounting skills, including fixed assets and real estate accounting.
- Excellent Excel skills and ability to analyze complex financial data.
