Job Summary

Signature Aviation is a leading global aviation services provider seeking a skilled Ground Service Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of our ground support equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Inspect, maintain, and repair ground support equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with ground support equipment, using test equipment and technical manuals as needed.
  • Service and Inspection: Check and service ground support equipment with fuel, water, oil, and hydraulic fluid, as required.
  • Assembly and Installation: Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to specifications.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Run diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues with machines, engines, transmissions, and other equipment.
  • Repair and Overhaul: Conduct repairs and overhauls of ground support equipment to ensure maximum reliability.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems, and clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
  • Fluid Replenishment: Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery, as required.
  • Consultation and Reporting: Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users, and keep logs of work and report on issues.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED, plus one year of experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Prior GSE or heavy equipment experience preferred.
  • Tools and Certification: Must have own tools, valid driver's license, and certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship (definite plus).
  • Language: Must be able to read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language.
