Job Summary:

The Government Banking Relationship Manager III is responsible for developing and retaining government banking business and growing core deposits. This role involves meeting with prospects and customers to sell government banking services and cross-sell other company products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government banking business development techniques and financing strategies, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and retain government banking business and grow core deposits independently
* Meet with larger and more complex prospects and customers in a designated region to a larger sales goal according to company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines
* Make prospect and customer calls independently to sell government banking services and cross-sell other company products and services
* Manage assigned relationships in coordination with other appropriate internal personnel

Requirements:

* 4-year degree or equivalent experience
* 3-5 years of related experience
* Strong understanding of government banking business development techniques and financing strategies
* Proven business development track record
* Strong market presence with wide network of outside referral sources for new business
* Strong credit and financial analysis skills
* More refined negotiation skills
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
