Patient Access Representative

Cleveland Clinic's Lutheran Hospital is a leading healthcare provider, renowned for its advanced research and surgery capabilities, cutting-edge technology, and world-class patient care. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be part of a dedicated team of caregivers who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform registration and obtain information about demographics, insurance, medical, and financial details.
  • Cross-train to staff all areas of patient access, including front desk, admitting office, ED, and cash register.
  • Function as a Super User and act as a resource for training new caregivers.
  • Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a customer-facing role, or an associate's degree and one year of experience, or a bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders, or completion of a course within one year.
  • Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment, and to move up to 25 pounds.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
