Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Specialist 3 to join our team at the Department of Administrative Services (DOAS). As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in supporting and executing our comprehensive communications, marketing, and digital media strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement communication and marketing plans to meet the needs of specific audiences and programs.
  • Assist in developing correspondence, promotional communication materials, presentations, speeches, training, and webinars.
  • Manage and maintain content on the DOAS intranet site, Agency Resource Channel, and Team Georgia, utilizing Microsoft SharePoint and the external DOAS site on the Drupal platform.
  • Maintain DOAS social media channels and additional communications pieces, including marketing materials, fact sheets, FAQs, talking points, and more.
  • Assist with graphic concept development, design, and production of marketing materials and logos for various programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners, providing helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable service.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of communications or related experience, or five years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of content and message development, strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, and basic analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use software applications such as SharePoint, MailChimp, Drupal, and Adobe Creative Suite.
