Job Summary

APluscare is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new support services to meet the changing needs of individuals receiving services.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive behavior support plans in accordance with APluscare policies and procedures.
  • Provide training to staff on implementing formal behavior support plans.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to develop behavior intervention strategies.
  • Intervene during behavioral crises and provide support to individuals in need.
  • Stay up-to-date with current DHS rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with inspections and investigations, and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
Requirements
  • BCBA certification required.
  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field required.
  • Strong organizational, writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in diverse communities with developmental disabilities preferred.
