Position Overview:
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking dedicated Educational Support Specialists to join our team. This role involves working closely with individual students in a classroom environment, focusing on enhancing their academic performance and daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized instructional support to students.
  • Address the physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs of students.
  • Assist students with daily living tasks and behavior management.
  • Supervise students during meals, recess, and various school activities.
  • Support students with special needs by adhering to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo fingerprinting as required by educational authorities.

Preferred Educational Background:
  • High School Diploma (required); or
  • An Associate's Degree or higher (preferred); or
  • Some college coursework completed (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
