Field Operations Training Coordinator Programmatic, Bureau of Emergency Field Operations

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Field Operations Training Coordinator to join our team in the Bureau of Emergency Field Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing emergency field operations training programs and associated materials. You will also coordinate and manage the delivery of training programs, maintaining a keen understanding of training trends, techniques, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop emergency field operations training programs and associated materials
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of training programs
- Work closely with emergency field operations planners and external stakeholders to ensure training programs are up-to-date and compliant with current response plans
- Assist in the development and implementation of a training program evaluation framework
- Monitor employee performance and compliance to training programs
- Serve as lead facilitator for all trainings and spearhead facilitator recruitment, onboarding, and engagement
- Assist in the development and implementation of a facilitator evaluation program
- Serve in an emergency role for a public health emergency, as needed
- Participate in Bureau-led emergency drills and exercises
Requirements
- 1-2 years of training experience or instructional design and development
- 1-2 years of experience working in emergency management
- Exceptional writing, communications, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation, group facilitation, and public speaking abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Creative and strategic problem-solving capabilities
- Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Articulate360 and Samaritan
