Job Summary

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Field Operations Training Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Bureau of Emergency Field Operations, you will be responsible for designing and developing emergency field operations training programs and associated materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop emergency field operations training programs and associated materials
  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of training programs
  • Work closely with emergency field operations planners and external stakeholders to ensure training programs are up-to-date and compliant with current response plans
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a training program evaluation framework
  • Monitor employee performance and compliance to training programs
  • Serve as lead facilitator for all trainings and spearhead facilitator recruitment, onboarding, and engagement
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a facilitator evaluation program
  • Serve in an emergency role for a public health emergency, as needed
  • Participate in Bureau-led emergency drills and exercises

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of training experience or instructional design and development
  • 1-2 years of experience working in emergency management
  • Exceptional writing, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation, group facilitation, and public speaking abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Creative and strategic problem-solving capabilities
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Articulate360 and Samaritan
