Production Technician I

The Production Technician I is responsible for performing assembly work following prescribed procedures and instructions. This role involves working with electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, performing repetitive bench or line assembly and wiring operations, and using various electrical testing and gauging devices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble wiring harness on pattern boards involving some degree of detail as to the number of wires.
- Perform intricate electrical unit assembly incidental to final assemblies.
- Work from wiring diagrams, specifications, and layouts.
- Use a variety of electrical testing and gauging devices and equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, and programmers.
- Responsible for mounting apparatus on chassis, wire cutting and stripping, soldering, crimping, testing, or like operations incidental to assembly.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and layouts.
- Experience with computers.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Able to use standard test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, and programmers.
- Proficient in soldering and solder standards (IPC).
- High school diploma and technical training or 1 year related experience.
