Job Overview

At Force America, we are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our Distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of hydraulic systems, including valves, pumps, motors, PTOs, and other products sold by our company.

As an Assembly Technician, you will work on a variety of projects, combining our own components with supplier products or bringing multiple supplier products together to provide an end product to our customers. Your unique assembly abilities will be essential in meeting the demands of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic systems in accordance with work orders using hand and power tools.
  • Test all assembled systems for quality, quantity, and time expectations.
  • Maintain system accuracy by updating inventory records, including parts used, defective parts, and additional parts needed.
  • Assist customers with needs assessment and complete repairs.
  • Coordinate with material handling, sales, and others to expedite orders.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Working knowledge of fluid power, preferred.
  • 1-5 years of Assembly or Shop experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize to meet customer expectations.
  • Detail oriented to provide the highest level of quality.
  • Customer focused.
