About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer to join our team at Bright Horizons. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing high-impact, scalable learning experiences that support our enterprise-wide leadership and professional development programs, change management initiatives, and functional and system process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Project Intake and Solution Development

Lead internal project intake processes, assessing how learning can meet business needs and recommending solutions that will support performance and behavior change.

Design Innovative Learning Solutions

Design innovative solutions to close knowledge and skill gaps through learning and advanced use of technology.

Develop Learning and Performance Solutions

Develop learning and performance solutions by facilitating subject matter expert input, researching external sources of knowledge, or a combination of both.

Manage Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts

Manage stakeholders and subject matter experts in the content development process, ensuring alignment, engagement, and expectation management.

Design and Develop Learning Materials

Design and develop learning materials, including eLearning modules, PowerPoint presentations, on-demand training, job aids, infographics, etc., using tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond, and similar tools.

Apply Instructional Design Methodologies

Apply ADDIE instructional design methodologies to create optimal learner experience and the intended user experience.

Complete Projects within Established Timelines

Complete projects within established timelines and scope.

Edit and Proofread Work

Edit and proofread work for accuracy, completeness, and quality prior to review by others.

Assist with Continuous Course Maintenance

Assist with continuous course maintenance and improvement, ensuring content remains current and courses remain workable on Bright Horizons' learning management system.

Create Assessments and Evaluate Training Effectiveness

Create assessments and use evaluation strategies to measure training effectiveness and ensure alignment to outcomes.

Work with Outside Vendors

Work with outside vendors to update and develop existing and new eLearning courses.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Education, Journalism, English, Communications, or Marketing

PREFERRED

3+ Years of Experience in Learning Design, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Graphic Design, or Equivalent in a Corporate Environment

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $74,000.

The range of compensation listed here or that may be discussed in the interview process is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
