Key Responsibilities

OBXtek is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist to provide vital support for the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Acquisition Support Services contract. This role is essential in facilitating effective program management for military communication and positioning, navigation, and timing initiatives.

The selected candidate will engage with leadership within the Directorate and support Space Force clients. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Creating comprehensive program overviews and executive summaries, summarizing significant program challenges, collecting contract details, and monitoring program milestones and progress.
  • Assessing program health and execution capabilities, evaluating cost, schedule, and technical risks, and identifying strategies for mitigation while consolidating program manager-identified efficiency initiatives.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the program's critical path, integrating performance data with the established program baseline, and accurately interpreting compliance thresholds.
  • Tracking changes to the program baseline, capturing essential logistics, test and evaluation data, and readiness characteristics, while maintaining an updated list of program office contacts for accurate acquisition reporting.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of government-approved systems utilized for generating acquisition reports and maintaining data consistency for leadership.
  • Reporting discrepancies to the appropriate government authorities.
  • Submitting draft contributions to the relevant program office prior to final approval and dissemination to leadership.

Compensation Range: $135,000 - $220,000 annually

Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current Secret Clearance.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree (MA/MS) in a relevant discipline such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • A minimum of 10 years of substantial experience in high-visibility or mission-critical program aspects, performing all functional duties independently and supervising personnel in the same field.
  • Proven ability to advise, innovate, optimize, and provide comprehensive recommendations to senior government leaders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with DoD, Air Force, and/or Space Force tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business is preferred (an unrelated Master's Degree requires an additional 2 years of relevant experience or a relevant Professional Certification).
  • APDP Level III or equivalent certification is desirable.
