Senior Quantitative Analyst

A global professional services firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will leverage their transactional and financial modeling expertise to play a key role in supporting the leadership for the Corporate Department's leading practice groups, including Emerging Companies, Capital Markets, and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop client-facing capitalization models to be used in M&A transactions, SPAC, deSPAC, and early stage/venture capital financing engagements.
  • Work closely with Corporate departmental leadership and attorneys to update models as the terms of the deal progress.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, as well as mentor and train team members to provide modeling assistance as needed.
  • Engage with attorney deal teams on transactions, critically reading agreements and providing financial modeling support.
  • Advising the internal deal team using knowledge gained from analysis, and answering questions regarding data, analytical methods, and assumptions used.
  • Producing client-ready financial models and effectively communicating analysis and work product to partners, associates, and external clients.
  • Maintaining detailed records documenting procedures, methodologies, and sources of information used while performing analytical tasks.
  • Participating in education classes for attorneys related to quantitative analysis work.
  • Developing and maintaining training materials such as reference guides, training presentations, a library of training exercises, and tip sheets.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • A financial/industry qualification (CFA) or a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) is ideal.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related analytical experience at a professional services organization in corporate finance, consulting, or M&A, as well as experience working on ad-hoc requests and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
