POSITION SUMMARY

The Air Transport Coordinator is tasked with managing urgent and non-urgent requests for patient transportation via telephone. This role involves determining the most suitable air unit to fulfill the customer's needs by utilizing a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. The Coordinator acts as the primary liaison between the Flight Team and the necessary resources required for transport operations. They serve as the central communication hub, facilitating interactions among the Aviation, Maintenance, Operations, Clinical, and Administrative teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills with all stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, management, and the general public.
  • Receive and address all inquiries regarding medical transport in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate exceptional listening abilities and accurately document all communications.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Oversee the assignment and coordination of medical transport via Air Evac.
  • Manage the cancellation and decline of transport requests, offering alternative solutions or aircraft as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate data entries in the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for all requests.
  • Continuously monitor aircraft during flight and log position reports into the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
  • Collaborate with the Flight Coordinator Supervisor to address any issues that may arise.
  • Engage with partners and the Flight Team to facilitate necessary transports.
  • Actively participate as a team member in various councils, contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capable of functioning in a fast-paced, occasionally high-stress work environment.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
