Compensation begins at $22.50, commensurate with experience.
Additional incentives include a $3/night shift differential and a $1/weekend shift differential.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Air Transport Coordinator is tasked with managing urgent and non-urgent telephone inquiries for patient transport services.
This role involves the allocation of the most suitable air transport unit to meet customer needs through the use of a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
The Coordinator acts as the primary liaison between the Flight Team and the necessary resources required for transport operations.
They serve as the central communication hub, facilitating interactions among the Aviation, Maintenance, Operations, Clinical, and Administrative departments.The Coordinator will exhibit proficiency with all relevant job-related tools, including but not limited to a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, mapping software, communication devices, multi-line telephone systems, and digital recording tools.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide exceptional customer service to all clients, colleagues, management, and the general public.
Receive and manage all customer inquiries regarding medical transport in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner.
Exhibit strong listening skills and accurately document all communications.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Responsible for the assignment and coordination of medical transport via Air Evac.
Handle declines and cancellations of transport requests with the requesting party, offering alternative solutions or aircraft as necessary.
Maintain accurate data entries in the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for all requests.Continuously monitor aircraft during flight and update aircraft position reports in the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
Coordinate with the Flight Coordinator Supervisor to address any issues that arise.
Engage with partners and the Flight Team to facilitate necessary transports.
Actively participate and contribute effectively as a team member in various councils to achieve the organization's objectives.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 18 years
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Detail-oriented
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Capable of functioning in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress work environment
Proficient in computer usage
