The Air Transport Coordinator role offers a competitive pay scale starting at $22.50, contingent upon experience.
Additionally, a $3/night shift differential and a $1/weekend shift differential are included.
JOB SUMMARY
The Air Transport Coordinator is tasked with managing urgent and non-urgent telephone inquiries regarding patient transportation. This position is crucial for assigning the most suitable air unit to fulfill the customer's request, utilizing a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. The Coordinator acts as the main liaison between the Flight Team and the necessary resources for effective transport operations. They facilitate essential communication across various departments, including Aviation, Maintenance, Operations, Clinical, and Administrative.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exhibit outstanding customer service skills when interacting with clients, colleagues, management, and the public.
- Receive and address all inquiries related to medical transport in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner.
- Demonstrate strong listening abilities and accurately document all communications.
- Clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Oversee the assignment and coordination of medical transport via Air Evac.
- Manage the cancellation and decline of transport requests, providing alternative solutions or aircraft when necessary.
- Maintain accurate data entries in the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for all requests.
- Continuously monitor aircraft during flight and log position reports into the CAD system.
- Collaborate with the Flight Coordinator Supervisor to address any arising issues.
- Coordinate with partners and the Flight Team to facilitate necessary transports.
TEAM PARTICIPATION
- Actively engage and contribute effectively as a team member in various councils to achieve organizational goals.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, occasionally high-stress work environment.
- Proficient in computer usage.
