About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Gentiva Hospice. As a Hospice Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families during a challenging time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with mobility and ambulation, using equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs as needed.
  • Prepare and serve light meals and snacks, and assist with feeding patients as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including light housekeeping tasks such as emptying trash and changing linens.
  • Document patient care and progress, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and attend staff meetings as required.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • 6 months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology.
  • Current drivers license and automobile insurance.
  • CPR certification.
