About the Role

Gentiva Health Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Hospice Aide/ Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients and their families in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with ambulation and transfer to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices.
  • Prepare and serve light meals and snacks, and assist with feeding patients as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as emptying trash and changing linens.
  • Assist with certain treatments as ordered on the aide plan of care and as allowable in state-specific regulations.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Document patient care and visit itineraries accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • Six (6) months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology strongly preferred.
  • Current driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Current CPR certification.
