We are seeking a proactive individual to become a vital member of our Architecture Portfolio Management Team. This role requires a quick learner capable of managing intricate technical projects. The team excels in program and project management, focusing on prioritizing, planning, and executing initiatives across SaaS, public cloud, and IT infrastructure projects, including third-party application platforms. The primary focus of this position will be on GSSR's business systems and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Director of Architecture Portfolio Management and will spearhead projects aimed at refining business processes such as quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay, ensuring compliance and governance, enhancing customer experience, managing costs, improving operational efficiency, and fostering growth. Additionally, this role will contribute to the development of best practices and standards in program and portfolio management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive delivery of multiple strategic projects that enhance our business applications and infrastructure platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and quality-driven initiatives that align with GSSR's technology strategies.
    • Ensure that solutions meet established quality standards, address project challenges and risks, and cultivate trusted relationships between delivery teams and business stakeholders.
    • Work closely with project stakeholders to comprehend their needs, provide expert insights on effort estimates and project feasibility, and secure necessary resources from business and IT teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Deliver timely updates on project status and highlight any factors affecting scope, schedule, or budget to sponsors and stakeholders.
    • Create and maintain essential project documentation, including stakeholder presentations, project charters, plans, status reports, risk management reports, and retrospectives.
  • Guide project team members while adhering to PMO standards and procedures.
  • Foster strong working relationships with both business and technology teams to guarantee overall program success.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations by aligning team members and management on project objectives, scope, and issue resolution.
  • Utilize knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile Project Management methodologies, processes, and tools, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, procurement, change, risk, and issue management.
  • Collaborate with the PMO team to contribute to process enhancements that improve the quality and execution of initiatives.
  • Apply business acumen and technical expertise to quickly familiarize yourself with GSSR's products, technologies, infrastructure, change management, and development processes.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in enterprise program or project management.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership.
  • Experience managing projects involving the design and implementation of strategic IT SaaS and in-house applications.
  • Familiarity with data center operations and public cloud technologies, including infrastructure, databases, networking, telephony, voice, and information security.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, with excellent interpersonal, organizational, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely at all organizational levels.
  • Able to grasp and engage with technical details to effectively gather complex requirements and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High degree of flexibility, independence, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
  • PMP and/or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
