Job Overview

At EPIC Health System LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately document patient information, including medical histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
  • Enter patient data into the electronic health record (EHR) system under the direction of the physician or provider.
  • Transcribe physician notes and medical orders into the EHR as dictated by the provider during patient interactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for follow-up visits, referrals, and lab orders.
  • Provide support during patient exams by gathering and documenting relevant clinical data.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient information confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with clerical tasks, such as preparing charts, managing documentation workflow, and organizing patient records.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical transcription or medical assistant training preferred.
  • Prior experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Proficient in typing and computer usage, particularly with EHR systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
