Corewell Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant III to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians and clinic staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and clinic staff with clinical activities, including patient preparation, vital sign collection, and laboratory procedures.
- Collaborate with the clerical staff to optimize office operations and patient flow.
- Interact with outside healthcare facilities and agencies to coordinate patient care and insurance.
- Maintain updated competencies and demonstrate ability to speak to leadership and accreditation bodies about process and workflow.
- Perform front office duties and provide coverage in other departments or locations as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and support the model of patient and family-centered care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited MA program, including a clinical rotation, or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of relevant experience or a completed Beaumont MA internship and 6 months of MA work experience.
- Preferred qualifications include CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and at least one certification from a preferred list.
