Corewell Health is offering a competitive sign-on bonus for this opportunity to join our team as a Medical Assistant on the Gynecology unit. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.
About the Unit:
This is a female-only unit that provides care to patients with a range of medical conditions, including surgical gynecology, medical, pediatric, and urology. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care and a safe environment for our patients.
About Royal Oak Hospital:
Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital is a major academic and referral center with Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma designations. We are recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top hospitals in the country and have earned Magnet designation four consecutive times.
Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant, you will provide care to patients according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include safe transport of patients, dispatch services, and documentation of services. You will also provide general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school graduate or equivalent, completion of a nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience, and nursing assistant certification. You will also need to have American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification.
Work Environment:
This is a part-time position with a variable schedule, including every third weekend. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
