Job Summary

Associated Retinal Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Scribe/Technician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in their daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with examinations and treatments, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and image management systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Prepare patients and rooms for treatments and minor procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient clinical environment.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate, as required.
  • Perform basic visual field testing and patient education as directed by physicians.
  • Assist with patient transfers and travel to other locations as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher.
  • Strong attention to detail and expert keyboard skills.
  • Ability to understand and correctly spell medical terminology and numbers as percentages.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and provide superior customer service to patients.

Working Conditions

Our office environment is clean and well-maintained, with moderate physical activity required for most of the work shift. You will be exposed to body fluids with direct patient contact and may be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
