At NewCareers, we are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to join our Ocean Imports team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Ocean Import Operations group by providing general administrative assistance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Review and process demurrage and per diem related costs
* Post and invoice demurrage and per diem related costs
* Monitor incoming Ocean Import emails and distribute arrival notices to operations as needed
* Perform other general administrative duties as assigned by management
**Requirements:**
* High school or GED
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience
* Ability to work occasionally outside of normal business hours
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and via email
* Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Accounts payable and/or invoicing experience
