We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the PCU West/Spine department at Longview Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress, identify potential complications, and take appropriate action to prevent or mitigate adverse outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Current Texas RN license or current Compact state license.
- AHA Healthcare provider BLS; ACLS required within 6 months of transfer or hire if not current.
- Critical Care Level 1 obtained within first 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program.
- Advanced certifications and training in Critical Care Nursing preferred.
