About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the PCU West/Spine department at Longview Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area.
  • Supervise, assign, and direct activities of all licensed and unlicensed caregivers and support staff during their assigned shift.
  • Use independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources.
Requirements
  • Previous Cardiac/Telemetry experience preferred.
  • Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course preferred.
  • Previous Critical Care Course preferred.
  • Current Texas RN license or current Compact state license.
  • AHA Healthcare provider BLS; ACLS required within 6 months of transfer or hire if not current.
  • Critical Care Level 1 obtained within first 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced certifications and training in Critical Care Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire.
  • Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
