Veterinary Technician

We are seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians or Assistants to join our dynamic team at BluePearl Pet Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and comfort to critically ill or injured patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients using proper technique and equipment.
- Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
- Perform digital radiography using proper positioning of patients.
- Have a complete understanding of normal patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting Veterinarians to changes and issues.
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
- Properly calculate medical math and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
- Be proficient in performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
- Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
- Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
- Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
