Position Summary:

The IT Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic roadmap for technology products related to Core Banking systems and their associated applications. This position encompasses core system support, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the Core Banking system, along with ancillary systems. Responsibilities also include providing software and hardware support and ensuring comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the daily operations of core banking processes and related applications.
  • Document procedures and maintain resource documentation, recording system modifications for troubleshooting and auditing purposes.
  • Assist in the development of new products and processes on core banking platforms by offering expertise on platform specifications and requirements.
  • Analyze and implement process automation utilizing OpCon job scheduler.
  • Manage core banking system releases, AIX patch management, service pack deployments, system backups, recovery processes, and routine maintenance.
  • Coordinate testing and communication regarding system updates for core banking systems and key ancillary applications.
  • Provide first and second-level technical support, addressing incidents as necessary.
  • Deliver escalated helpdesk support, meeting resolution KPIs by evaluating, resolving, and communicating root causes for helpdesk inquiries.
  • Champion a standardized methodology for managing projects and changes, ensuring clear communication and adherence to established principles.
  • Oversee configurations and modifications related to Secure FTP processing and Windows operating systems.
  • Conduct timely network troubleshooting to identify and resolve common network issues.
  • Monitor server performance and address server-related challenges.
  • Act as a liaison between MCU and technology vendors during system troubleshooting.
  • Monitor all integrated core system connections, including online banking and IVR systems.
  • Track the status of automated jobs in OpCon and take necessary actions to rectify any errors.
  • Support initiatives to ensure continuous availability of business applications.
  • Work in shifts as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably within the financial sector.
  • Familiarity with AIX systems.
  • Knowledge of JHA products or equivalent systems.
  • Experience with core banking platforms such as Symitar, Spectrum, or DNA.
  • Experience in administering and maintaining IBM P Series and VIOS.
  • Proficient in Windows, secure FTP processing, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a solid understanding of financial principles and regulations.
  • Experience with core banking platforms like Symitar, Spectrum, Servicing Director, and Akcelerant is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with OpCon job scheduler.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint).
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards.
