Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prior authorization for both new and existing patients.
  • Perform eligibility checks and benefits verification for new intakes.
  • Facilitate communication functions within the business office.
  • Provide clerical support and exceptional customer service, including explaining insurance benefits to clinical staff.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Input new patient information into the scheduling system and update records as necessary.
  • Communicate with clinicians regarding admissions, hospitalizations, discharges, and expirations.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned to meet the objectives of our home care operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in medical prior authorizations is essential.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Compensation: $18-$21 per hour, commensurate with experience.
