Position Summary:

As a vital member of our production team, the Machinery Operations Specialist is responsible for the continuous and efficient functioning of our machinery and equipment. This role encompasses machine setup, repair, maintenance, and operation. The Machinery Operations Specialist plays a critical role in troubleshooting and resolving unexpected issues, serving as the first line of defense and providing valuable insights to prevent future complications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehending customer requirements and their standards for quality output.
  • Ensuring that production outputs meet the highest quality standards and training others to maintain consistent quality.
  • Advancing through the competency model program to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with inspectors and packers to assess part quality and making necessary machine adjustments.
  • Contributing to the success of the broader team, including stepping in for other roles as needed.
  • Completing accurate production documentation promptly.
  • Adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMP) to ensure safety for team members and products.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Crew Leader.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and personal growth.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting of 15-25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; team lift required for over 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive tasks involving upper extremities.
  • Extended periods of standing on concrete surfaces.
  • Ability to properly wear and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Frequent climbing of steps and/or ladders while working on elevated platforms.
  • Exposure to high temperatures during work.

Essential Skills:

  • Preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Blueprint interpretation.
  • PLC troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Machine inspection skills.
  • Machine repair expertise.

Training Requirement:

Must be available for training on the first shift, 6 am - 2:30 pm, for a minimum of six months.
